High Capability Computing and Modeling

The High Capability Computing and Modeling Group

Our mission is to advance the state-of-the-art in high capabillity computing and modeling technologies for the NASA engineering and science community.

The HCCM group conducts research and development of high capability computing and modeling technologies, and infuses the technologies into projects and missions. The group implements existing applications on distributed computing platforms, provides a testbed and computing resource to JPL customers for software running on cluster computers. The group develops new modeling software to simulate and optimize physical systems, information technology systems, mission design, and technology portfolio using distributed and parallel computing platforms. The HCCM Group operates the High Performance Computing Laboratory (168-235) equipped with several cluster computers.

The HCCM group (388C) is a member of Instrument Software and Science Data Systems Section (388) within the Instruments and Science Data Systems Division (38) at Jet Propulsion Laboratory, California Institute of Technology.
